◆ Malbec ◆

 

Malbec is a red grape varietal originated in France but plays a big role in Argentine wine industry since its introduction to the country in the mid 19th. It produces wines with inky-black color, robust tannins and plum-like flavor, though the Argentine Malbec is found often softer in tannic structure.

 

起源於法國的紅葡萄品種,自19世紀中期引進阿根廷,於該國葡萄酒產業擔當著重要角色。它生產的酒色澤深沉、單寧強壯、帶梅子味道,而阿根廷馬爾貝克一般較法國的柔順。

 

 

 

◆ Torrontes ◆

 

Torrontes is an aromatic white grape that originated in Argentina. It often exudes sweet perfumed aromas and flavors of white peach and lemon zest, but is usually made in a dry style.

 

Torrontes是阿根廷本土的芳香白葡萄品種。香氣上它散發出甜美、近乎香水般的芳香、白桃和檸檬等風味,但口感上則以乾身風格為主流。

 

 

 

◆ Bonarda ◆ 

 

Bonarda is actually DNA-profiled and found to be identical to a rare grape from Savoie, France. It usually displays a burst of fruitiness on the nose whiel more complex expression gives violets, spice and peonies. It may tastes like an exotic Merlot but delivers lower tannins. Most Bonarda wines are made with little to no oak.

 

Bonarda在基因上與法國Savoie的一種稀有葡萄品種相同。香氣上一般以果香為主,部分會散發紫羅蘭、香料和牡丹等氣息。味道上被形容為「異國情調的梅洛」,可是單寧相對較少。大多數Bonarda都不經橡木陳年。

◆ Cabernet Sauvignon ◆

 

Cab Sau accounts for just over 17% of the red grapes grown in Argentina. The dry, hot climate of Argentina leads to wines that are almost always filled with tons of blackberries, cherry, pepper and vanilla with notes of mint.

 

Cabernet Sauvignon佔阿根廷葡萄種植面積17%。乾燥炎熱的氣候造就出充滿黑莓、櫻桃、胡椒、香草、薄荷等風味的葡萄酒。

 

 

 

◆ Syrah ◆

 

Argentine Syrah is being made into a fresher, lighter style, especially from the high altitude vineyards. The foothills of the Andes in San Juan, Uco Valley or some parts of Luján de Cuyo, are home to some of the best Syrahs in Argentina.

 

阿根廷的Syrah正趨向更新鮮、更輕盈的風格,特別是在高原葡萄園的出品。位於安第斯山山腳的San Juan、Luján de Cuyo及Uco Valley生產出阿根廷最優質的Syrah。

 

 

◆ Merlot ◆

 

One of the red varieties that has recently been promoted in Argentina and has great potential. It adapts best to the high and cool Argentine terroirs, especially the Uco Valley and Patagonia.

 

近年於阿根廷興起、潛力巨大的紅葡萄品種之一。它能適應阿根廷高原的生長環境,尤其是Uco Valley和Patagonia。

 

 

◆ Tempranillo ◆

 

The variety was originally brought to Argentina by the Spaniards. Unoaked version may exudes aromas of raspberry and blackberry, while typical old wine may gives notes of licorice and baked element.

 

由西班牙人帶到阿根廷的葡萄品種。不經木桶處理的版本,偏向帶有覆盆子和黑莓的香氣,而在典型的老酒中,可能會找到甘草、燒烤類的香氣等。

 

 

◆ Chardonnay ◆

 

Much appreciated in Argentina for its capacity for ripening and because it can be used to make a wide range of wines, from the bases for sparkling wines to the full-bodied varietals fermented in oak barrels to the fresh and elegant wines without oak.

 

Chardonnay在阿根廷頗受歡迎,由於其熟成能力佳,亦可用於釀製不同風格的葡萄酒——從氣泡葡萄酒到橡木桶發酵的濃郁酒款,或者是不經橡木處理的新鮮優雅酒款。
